Michael Graham has to be the only person on Earth to open for Bill Maher, Chris Rock and Sarah Palin.
Whether as radio talk host, touring comedian or Creative Director for the Weekly Standard/Washington Examiner, Graham has spent nearly his entire life in front of a mic. He started in college as a stand-up comic, spending six years touring the national comedy-club circuit with stars like Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Foxworthy and the aforementioned Chris Rock.
Then Graham’s career took an unexpected turn: Six years working fulltime as a GOP political consultant on campaigns from Chicago to the Carolinas, including two presidential bids and a Republican primary challenge to then-US Senator—and political legend—Strom Thurmond of South Carolina.
That led to Graham’s career as a radio talk host, including successful stints in Charlotte, Atlanta, Washington, DC and Boston. In 2010, he introduced Sarah Palin to a crowd of 10,000 at a tea party rally on Boston Common.
Today, Graham hosts the “Michael In The Morning” podcast for Ricochet.com and is a columnist for the Boston Herald. He’s also the author of four books, including the first book by a major publisher on the Tea Party movement–“THAT’S NO ANGRY MOB, THAT’S MY MOM!” (Regnery, 2010). Graham’s writing has also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, the Washington Examiner, The Irish Herald and many other publications.
As a result, he’s been a frequent guest on FOX/CNN/MSNBC, including several appearances on Bill Maher’s Real Time on HBO, and is a regular contributor for CBS News.
