Ghost Searching

Interestingly, candidate Nowicki is not mentioning her amazing psychic/tarot reading/ghost searching skills to the voters of Londonderry.  I know that if I were looking for a councilperson, his or her ability to do spirit readings would be of great interest.

And what about the civil rights issues Nowicki’s candidacy raises? What if deceased people tell her they want to vote for her in the upcoming election? Should voters be denied access to the ballot box simply because they’re dead? And if so, who’s going to vote in the next Democratic primary?

I say it’s time for Deborah Shimkonis Nowicki to speak out on behalf of the post-mortal community and defend their rights!

But she already knew I was going to say that, didn’t she?

Natural Truth of the Day

For several months now, whenever the topic of enrollment in the Affordable Care Act came up, I've been saying that it was too soon to tell its ultimate effects. We don't know how many people have paid for their new insurance policies, or how many of those who bought policies were previously uninsured. For that, I said, we will have to wait for Census Bureau data, which offer the best assessment of the insurance status of the whole population... I stand corrected: These data won't be available at all. Ever.-- Megan McArdle, Bloomberg View.
