Mayor Menino Donated Tax Dollars To “Homophobic” Group In Boston!

It’s true! And I’ve got a picture of the place right here:

menino mosque

This is the Islamic Society of Boston’s mosque in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, a.k.a. “Menino’s Mosque.

Mayor Menino “sold” $2 million worth of city property to the ISB for $175,000, despite their well-documented links to Muslim extremism.  The mosque teaches a form of Islam that condemns homosexuals to death.

And Menino won’t let a guy spend his own money opening a restaurant because he doesn’t support same-sex marriage? Hey, Mayor Moron—when was the last time Chick-Fil-A stoned a gay guy to death?

OK, so you don’t believe me. You think I’m making this up. Check this out: Even the uber-liberal Boston Phoenix reported on it at the time:

Mayor Menino, in a fit of multicultural ecumenicalism, approved the sale of city-owned land to the mosque for the bargain basement — and still controversial — price of $175,000, plus the promise of in-kind services, including upkeep of nearby parks. The predictable uproar that arose in the wake of not only selling land well below market rates, but also selling it to a religious institution in contravention of the supposed separation of church and state, was supposed to be muffled by making the complex available for community use. But oops — that never happened.

The facts are not in dispute: Mayor Menino gave a $1.8 million tax-dollar donation to build a mosque. He was there when the mosque opened. And this mosque teaches homosexuality is a sin to be punished by death.

And this makes sense…how?

  • “The Department of Justice went before a judge and alleged that Fox News reporter James Rosen was a criminal ‘co-conspirator’ in leaking classified information, in order to access his personal e-mail accounts. No reporter has ever been prosecuted as a co-conspirator under the Espionage Act; in all previous cases, it has been used to prosecute the leaker of classified information, not the recipient.”– Jim Geraghty, NRO’s “Campaign Spot”
