President Obama Answers The Tough Questions On Burning The Quran

President Obama, what’s your position on the redneck preacher who plans to burn copies of the Quran on 9/11?

“As a citizen, and as President, I believe that [Christians] have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to [burn a book] on private property in [Florida] in accordance with local laws and ordinances.”

But Mister President, are they doing something good or bad by burning those Qurans?

“In this country we treat everybody equally and in accordance with the law, regardless of race, regardless of religion.  I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to [burn a Quran] there. I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding.”

If I am misrepresenting President Obama’s position on offensive religious behavior, please email me at michaelgraham@969bostontalks.com or post your correction on my FB page.

Thank you for your help.
