He thinks President Obama’s doing a great job on the economy. He’s a big-time supporter of ObamaCare, and says complaints about the Democrats’ performance is “fueled by right-wing radio and cable shows.”
As opposed to, you know, the fact that the stimulus didn’t work, ObamaCare’s exploding the deficit, and government workers got raises while private sector taxpayers got laid off.
McGovern (a.k.a. “McGovern-ment”) is so far to the Left he brags about taking advice from George freakin’ McGovern! He even declined to vote for a resolution calling for democracy in Cuba. So, is democracy too “right-wing” for this guy?
McGovern was totally wrong on ObamaCare, claiming it would create jobs. He was totally wrong on the stimulus. He was totally wrong on the Bush tax cuts in 2003 and their impact on the economy. And he’s totally wrong on taxes today, supporting a huge tax increase in the midst of what he calls “the worst economic situation since the Great Depression.” This is economic insanity.
So why is anyone seriously considering re-electing this loony? Particularly when there’s a great alternative—an actual businessman and regular taxpayer Marty Lamb.
