Gitmo Detainees, “Yes!” US Flags On 9/11? Not So Much

That’s the bizarre world view of Amherst, MA, and the subject of my Boston Herald column today:

As a member of Town Meeting, Hooke supported resolutions calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush, the immediate withdrawal of all troops from Iraq and granting the right to vote to non-citizens.

What does Hooke oppose? Military action against Iran, and the flying of American flags in downtown Amherst - on 9/11.

Read that again: Ruth Hooke wants released Guantanamo detainees roaming downtown Amherst next Sept. 11, but she opposes flying American flags to commemorate that horrific day.

I bet if you told Belbacha and Mingazov about Hooke’s position, they’d ask “Where did you find that extremist kook?”

And I’m re-posting above the YouTube featuring members of Amherst Town Meeting insulting the American flag, claiming it’s a symbol of oppressing and claiming to be intimidated by its presence.  If you haven’t seen this, you MUST watch.  You’ll never see a more clear and honest display of the true attitudes of the Massachusetts Left.
