UPDATE UPDATE! I’ll be at Brandeis this afternoon for the last portion of the program. Brandeis is expecting a large crowd, but they are asking you to email your plans to attend. Go to the website linked below.
UPDATE! Brandeis has posted an “apology” here. But the program is still scheduled for Wednesday with no changes.
Just interviewed Brandeis spokesman Andrew Gully about the upcoming Neo Nazis/Tea Party symposium. Some breaking news:
Brandeis started taking down the “swastika” posters promoting the event this morning.
Brandeis has removed the link to our Boston Common Tea Party with Sarah Palin from the webpage. (You can see the original screen capture on a posting below.)
Gully repeatedly asserted that there was nothing about the symposium linking Tea Parties to Neo Nazis, and that you can’t necessarily draw conclusions from panels like “From Tea Parties To Armed Militias.” Uh-huh.
Well, at least there’s no more extremism on the website…

"The truth is something [Warren] probably prefers not to confront. Harvard doesn’t come calling just because you’re a smart lawyer and a terrific teacher — not with Warren’s modest, Oklahoma upbringing and non-Ivy League education. She is not your typical Harvard professor. At a certain point, when the law school was under pressure to promote diversity, she represented a three-fer: a great lawyer with a national profile, a woman, and a minority, at least by virtue of family lore.
